Translating a text of any kind to another language requires a broad knowledge in both languages -origin and destination- and a methodology. Yet, it also requires a cultural understanding and a sensitivity to make the translated text convey the same as the original text, in the same way. Professional Subtitles and Closed Captions for Video
Multimedia -audio and video- has become in the recent years the most used means to create quality content for all kinds of purposes: educational, entertainment, artistic, academic and so on. This has brought countless improvements in the way we produce and create content, and in turn, it created the need to generate transcriptions and subtitles in order to extract the textual content of the multimedia format and make it accessible, indexable and readable to users. Subtitling video involves accessibility and reading rules, along with the use of certain technical tools, to obtain professional results. I’ve worked on subtitling movies and all kinds of videos. I’m a translator, I also transcribe and I create subtitles for TED since 2008 – Look at my TED profile as Translator– with more than 350 TED talks and subtitled TEDX talks. As part of the team of TEDxRíodelaPlata I coordinate the tasks of subtitling, transcription and translation of TEDx talks since 2011.
The importance of making your contents accessible
Transcribing, subtitling and translating of your digital content -audio, podcasts, interviews, video, film, animations, and so on…- has a meaning and a purpose beyond apparent: making these contents accessible for people with different abilities, or simply, for those who in certain contexts don’t have access to audio and require reading.
As well, the transcription of your multimedia contents allows for the content to be indexed by search engines like Google and have much more chance of being included in search results when a person searches for what you are offering or talking about. It is highly recommended that your videos, vlogs, films shows and series podcasts are transcribed if they are online, and eventually, translated into English / Spanish or the most spoken languages in the world.

Hi! Since 2002 I work in web design, graphic design, digital services, content creation and English-Spanish translations. In 2010 I turned into a professional photographer as well, shooting mostly corporate and social events. My work keeps me in constant training, motion and connection with diverse people, disciplines, places and worldviews. This is for me the most wonderful thing about my career. I became a TED translator, creating subtitles for TED.com in 2008. I attended TED 2011 in Long Beach and since then I am part of the organizing team of TEDxRíodelaPlata, in charge of the English-Spanish subtitles of the talks and the photography of the events. In all these years I put together a wonderful team of professionals that help me deliver high quality services, consistently. I studied coaching and NLP to assist my clients should they required it.
